Island Routes Dolphin Encounter
September 17, 2010

The island of Jamaica offers so many tours and excursions that can make your vacation unforgettable. I am pleased to announce that Island Routes will be giving you the opportunity to go and swim with the dolphins when you book a stay at Sandals Royal Plantation. All you have to do is book a stay by September 24 for a minimum of 6 nights and you will receive a FREE Dolphin Encounter!

Enjoy learning about these truly unique animals while touching, dancing, singing and even kissing one of our beautiful bottlenose dolphins in deep water. Feel the thrill of “riding” the dolphin belly-to-belly as the water rushes by. Watch the dolphins at play and view the exciting Shark Show, performed by our very own pirates of “Little Port Royal.” Interact with our colorful birds and exotic snakes and iguanas. Enjoy unlimited mini-boat rides, glass-bottom kayaking and interacting with our gentle stingrays (with barbs clipped).

Like the pirates, roam and then relax on the pearly-white beach while being caressed by the cool Caribbean breeze.

Contact your travel agent or 1-800-545-8283 for more details!

Cheers!

Gina

Introducing : Sandals Royal Plantation
September 6, 2010

As of September 1, 2010 Royal Plantation is now Sandals Royal Plantation. Below you will find the official press release.

SANDALS RESORTS INTERNATIONAL TO RETIRE

THE ROYAL PLANTATION BRAND

~Flagship Resort Royal Plantation Ocho Rios, Jamaica Will Become Part of Sandals Resorts

 Luxury Included® brand September 1~

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA, August 9, 2010 – Sandals Resorts International (SRI) Chairman and Founder Gordon “Butch” Stewart today announced that beginning September 1, The Royal Plantation Collection brand will be retired and properties operating under the Royal Plantation banner will be folded into Sandals Resorts or operated independently.

According to Stewart, the move has been in the works for the past year and is part of an overall strategic plan that began nearly a decade ago to elevate the Sandals Resorts experience.

“We have been on a long and determined journey for the last ten years to develop Sandals Resorts into a true luxury product. When we introduced the Royal Plantation brand in 2000, it allowed us [Sandals Resorts International] to acquire properties, talent and practices that have now become part of the Sandals Resorts Luxury Included® experience. Our reasons for a second brand no longer exist.  Sandals Resorts defines luxury within our company.  We are confident in our product and feel now is the time to bring the family together,” said Stewart.

Officially launched in 2006, Sandals Resorts’ Luxury Included® concept redefined the standard of luxury at Sandals Resorts, featuring unprecedented services and amenities including lavish suites with private plunge pools and Jacuzzis, exclusive dining options and celebrated partnerships with London-based Guild of Professional English Butlers, Beringer Wines and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

In February 2010, the concept was epitomized with the debut of a 500-acre beachfront resort, Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas. It is the first Sandals Resort offering butler service to all guests, a championship golf course designed by Greg Norman and a world-class marina.

As a part of the brand restructuring, Royal Plantation Ocho Rios, Jamaica will become Sandals Royal Plantation, Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and like all Sandals Resorts, will no longer offer an EP plan or accept singles. The resort will remain open during the transition and guest services will not be interrupted. Sandals Royal Plantation, which offers 74 oceanfront suites, joins sister property Sandals Emerald Bay in providing every couple with a professionally-trained butler during their stay and will embrace all of the amenities that Sandals Resorts is known for including a Red Lane® Spa, gourmet á la carte dining and luxury accommodations.

Regarding the villas operating under the Royal Plantation brand, Royal Plantation Island, Exumas will revert to its original name, Fowl Cay Resort; while Royal Plantation Private Villas, located in Discovery Bay, Ocho Rios and Whitehouse, Jamaica, will retain its name.  These properties will not become part of Sandals Resorts and will be marketed independently.

Sandals Resorts – Ideal For Romance
September 12, 2010

Sandals Resorts didn’t invent the all inclusive concept, but over the years we have perfected it. For a decade we have won every award in the industry and we continue to be voted WORLD’S BEST LUXURY INCLUDED RESORTS.  We have raised the bar in the “all inclusive” world and we believe that the loyalty of our guests confirms our commitment to excellence. Many other hotel chains try to imitate us but remember the saying “imitation is the greatest form of flattery”.

Why would you choose to go anywhere less than perfect? No other resorts in the world are so completely dedicated to couples in love as Sandals Resorts are. Each and every Sandals Resort has been designed to fulfill and exceed every need and wish that two people in love could ever possibly have.

Why are Sandals Resorts ideal for romance?

-All Sandals Resorts are for couples only – no singles or children are permitted on our properties

-Exotic locations and perfect beaches – Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia, Bahamas

-Luxurious Accommodations: Plush King-size beds in all rooms and suites

-Gourmet dining with candlelit tables for two

-Intimate ambiance at all resorts

-Sparkling entertainment under the sun and stars

Every single element of a Sandals vacation caters exclusively to couples in love and this is why our resorts are truly a paradise made for two!!

Cheers,

Gina
