Welcome to my blog. I want this to be a place where we can talk about anything that is related to Sandals & Beaches Resorts, Royal Plantation Collection, Grand Pineapple Resorts and the travel industry in general. I encourage you to send me your comments as your feedback is really important to me.
I have been working in the travel industry for over 15 years and I must tell you that I have never experienced a dull day. I started off my career in the industry as a travel consultant in the Ottawa area. I still remember the days when we would make 10% commission on trans-border flights or when we would sell executive class tickets and actually make money on them and now those days and dollars are long gone.
For the past 5 years I have been working with Sandals Resorts and I am very proud to be working with a company that has never taken away from the travel agents but in fact Sandals Resorts keeps on giving back to the travel agent community. “WE BELIEVE IN TRAVEL AGENTS”
We are the only Caribbean Resort Company that has dedicated Business Development Managers located coast to coast and they are there to help you grow your business with our brands.
We also believe in educating our agents and that is why we have our CSS workshops which will really help you learn about our four brands. We have also just launched a 3 part webinar focusing on the following topics: honeymoons at Sandals and Beaches resorts, WeddingMoons® and Group Sales. We are so happy to have you back as out DSM. This blog will be a great way for people to ask questions, leave hints for
other agents or maybe even to vent when the customer drives us a little bit crazy.
I too remember the days of 8.25%, 10% and 15% commission. When there was not a consolidator to be found. Over 20 years in the business.
Looking forward to seeing either Turks or Antigua this year.

Yes you sure do beleive in travel agents..I just retruned from a wonderful 8 nights in Antigua using my sell and go.amazing place. Its kinda two differetn worlds there.The new Med side which is amazing..I had my very own door bell...go figure..and the bathroom well if it wasnt for wanting some sun I could of lived in the bathroom!!!!Then the caribe side is so lush and beautiful with all the flowers and gardens..WOW! to walk through there was great...(even if I am scared of birds)...The staff of whole was great some were freindlier thans others but heck same thing here right. The staff in Kricketeers were totally amazing my hat goes off to Geraldine and her girls..We got hugs everyday..which made us feel special ..All in all the resort was great and we enjoyed our time very much.So that was a downfall...Again guys thanks for making my six year wish come true.. And looking forward to visiting more resorts with my sell and gos..I love you guys your great travel partners!!

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy reading your blog. What a great way to stay informed and connected with everyone. Especially for us newbies who are just starting to sell Sandals and Beaches properties. Keep 'em coming ;)
I just returned recently from the Turks Fam...and yes it sure was the Wow factor involved. The accommodation in the Italian Section was awesome. The beach as perfect...I did find the food in some of the restaurants were to fancy for me. Pool was great and l really liked the older section on the Caribbean side, no complaints. The kids are turly looked after, the water park was amazing. I only had a day to enjoy the place, l am sure my cleints will be happy. Thanks Sandals for the opportunity....it was great..
