SANDALS RESORTS ANNOUNCES SIXTH ‘GREATEST LOVE STORY’ VIDEO CONTEST FINALIST

Sandals Resorts has announced its sixth finalist in the company’s Greatest Love Story Video Contest, a worldwide search to find the most romantic, inspirational and unique tale of love.  The lucky couple this month is Laura and Mark of Norman, Oklahoma.

Mark and Laura were brought together by their mutual passion for making a difference. They first met while protesting a hold on a Senate bill to end a war in Africa and rescue its child soldiers. They spent eleven nights in the cold until the bill was passed. Soon after developing a serious relationship, Mark was awarded his dream job making documentaries in Africa. For ten months, they emailed and video chatted, and Laura eventually made a trip out to visit. Once Mark’s project abroad was complete, he organized a surprise trip to New York City on July 4^th to propose to Laura as fireworks glowed in the distance.

As a finalist in the Greatest Love Story Contest, the Oklahoma couple are eligible to become the grand prize winning couple of an eight-day / seven-night Luxury Included® Vacation to Sandals Montego Bay plus more, or as a runner-up receive a four-day / three-night Luxury Included® vacation land package for two to any Sandals Resort, located in Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, and The Bahamas.

The Sandals Greatest Love Story Video Contest coincides with the 30^th anniversary of Sandals Resorts, strengthening the company’s status as the authority on romantic getaways and will culminate with an announcement of the grand prize and six runner-up winners on October 15, 2011. The public still has the opportunity to vote for the seventh / “popular vote” finalist by voting online until September 15, 2011 for their favorite video.  Videos that were chosen each month are eligible for either the contest’s grand prize or runner-up prizes.  The couple whose story is considered by Sandals Resorts to be the most compelling will be swept away for an eight-day / seven-night Luxury Included® vacation to Sandals Montego Bay in Jamaica, the company’s very first resort, and will be invited to attend the company’s exclusive 30^th Anniversary Celebration.
